HARRISVILLE – Carol E. Tucker, age 73, of Harrisville, passed away tragically due to an act of violence on March 27, 2026 along with her husband, Jerry.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Fowler Baptist Church on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. An hour on visitation will be held prior from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Carol was born on November 13, 1952 in Massena to the late Lyle and Gladys (Sears) Fleury. She graduated from Massena High School in 1971 and studied Early Child Education at Troy State University in Alabama.

Mrs. Tucker served in the Marine Corps where she worked as a Communications Center Man from 1971 until her honorable discharge in 1974.

Carol married Jerry Tucker on May 6, 1978 at his parents' home. After Jerry's military career, Carol and Jerry owned and operated J.C. Solar and Wind, installing solar and wind power systems and equipment. She had previously worked in retail. Carol enjoyed camping, cooking and baking.

Her survivors include, two children, Damian and Adrienne Tucker of Junction City, KS, and Amanda and Christopher Swan of Box Elder, SD, and six grandchildren, Michael, Cora, Dylan and Neela Swan, and Caleb and Elizabeth Tucker. She is also survived by her sister, Charlene Pickering.

Carol is predeceased by a son, Raymond Tucker, her brother, Edward Fleury, and a brother-in-law, Edwin Pickering.
