HARRISVILLE – Jerry Ward Tucker, age 71, of Harrisville, passed away tragically due to an act of violence on March 27, 2026 along with his wife, Carol.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Fowler Baptist Church on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. An hour on visitation will be held prior from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Jerry was born on October 19, 1954 in Massena to the late Raymond and Shirley Rose (Furnace) Tucker. He graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School in 1972 and earned his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and his Masters in Aviation Management from Troy State University in Alabama.

Mr. Tucker served in the United States Air Force from 1978 until his retirement in 1998. He was proud to have served his county as a B-52 Maintenance Officer. After his military career, Jerry and Carol owned and operated J.C. Solar and Wind, installing solar and wind power systems and equipment.

Jerry married Carol Fleury on May 6, 1978 at his parents' home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and earned his private pilot license in 1983 in Oscoda, MI.

His survivors two children, Damian and Adrienne Tucker of Junction City, KS, and Amanda and Christopher Swan of Box Elder, SD, and six grandchildren, Michael, Cora, Dylan and Neela Swan, and Caleb and Elizabeth Tucker. He is also survived by his eight siblings, Dale and Nancy Tucker, Raynelle MacNeal, Diana and Michael Barkley, Craig and Christine Tucker, Valerie Smith, LuAnn and Lori Tucker, Daniel Tucker, and Julie and Christopher Perry.

Jerry is predeceased by a son, Raymond Tucker.
