THERESA- Angela L. Walsh, age 56, of Theresa, NY passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

There will be a memorial mass on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Rossie. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Richville. There will be a celebration of life to follow at the Gouverneur VFW. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

Angela was born on May 11, 1969 in Gouverneur, NY to Stanley D. and Brenda J. (Youngs) Besaw. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1988 and attended BOCES for cosmetology. Angie married Ron Walsh on August 27, 2006. A previous marriage to Jack Richardson ended in divorce.

Angie worked as a 4-H Educator in Antwerp, was a cake decorator for P&C Foods in Gouverneur, a Med Cert for United Helpers, worked at Tractor Supply in Gouverneur and most recently she worked as a substitute teacher assistant for Indian River Central School District. She was a member of the Oxbow Fire Department, was a trapper trainer for the DEC and was on the Executive Leadership Board for the Boy Scouts of America. In her free time, Angie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting, making cakes, canning, baking, trapping, hunting and fishing.

Surviving is her husband, Ron Walsh; a son, Zachary Richardson; a daughter, Natasha Richardson; a grandson, Quinn Richardson; four brothers, Anthony (Rachel) Besaw, Aaron Besaw and his fiancé Jennifer Fullerton, Jamie (Candy) Waite and Lucas (Valerie) Besaw; a step mother, Stephanie Besaw; a step brother, Leroy "Fred" Tharrett Jr.; two step sisters, Sherry Mandigo and Shelly Tharrett and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Angie is predeceased by her father, Stanley Besaw; her mother, Brenda Tharrett and her step father, Leroy T. Tharrett.
