EDWARDS- S. Bruce Hotaling, age 76, of Edwards, NY passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Bruce was born on April 10, 1949 in Fulton, NY to Clifton J. and Thelma (Hooper) Hotaling. He graduated from Harrisville Central School in 1968.

Bruce married Patsy A. Hall on April 7, 1968 at the South Edwards Methodist Church with Rev. Thompson officiating. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge and Pine Tree Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite hobby was raising honey bees from 2003 to present. His honey label was "Seymour's Honey".

He worked at Newton Falls Paper Mill from 1968-1990, from which he retired. He also worked for the Department of Corrections as a corrections officer from 2000-2015. He retired in July of 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy of Edwards; their children, Lisa Lewis and Bruce Hotaling; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, a sister Elaine Hawn and his son-in-law, Phillip Lewis.

There will be no calling hours. A private burial will be at Gates Cemetery in South Edwards in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
