EDWARDS- James E. "Rolo" Roberts, age 60, of Edwards, NY passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at his mother's home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

James was born on February 21, 1965 in Gouverneur, NY to Francis E. and Irene M. (Rice) Roberts. He graduated from Edwards Central School in 1984 and then went on to attend College at North Country Community College and then Mater Dei College. After college, Jim started working for the St. Lawrence County Bridge Crew until his retirement in 2020 at the age of 55. In his free time, Jim liked to go hunting and he loved going around to various auctions.

Surviving is his mother, Irene; three brothers, Earl, David and Michael Roberts; a sister, Debra Roberts and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Francis.

There will be a graveside service for Jim at Fairview Cemetery in Edwards later in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
