EDWARDS- Kathryn N. Fletcher, aged 88, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Canton, N.Y. Born in Edwards, N.Y. on April 2, 1937, Kathy remained connected to her hometown throughout her life, she cherished close relationships with family, lifelong friends and the Adirondacks she loved so much.

As an adult, Kathy earned a degree in Dental Hygiene and worked as a dental hygienist for 20 years. Later in life, she took great pride in helping to organize Edwards Alumni class reunions, enjoying the opportunity to reconnect with friends and classmates.

Kathy was a resident of Star Lake for over 40 years, where she shared her life with her longtime companion Jared Cooper. Together, they spent time at his family camp on Star Lake and enjoyed winter travels to the Florida Keys and Myrtle Beach. Kathy was, as well, a member of the Trout Lake Association and devoted time at the beloved family camp on Trout Lake.

Her hobbies included playing the piano, working on puzzles, knitting, gardening, antiquing and staying busy with projects for her home and family. Kathy was known for her thoughtfulness remembering moments that matter, never missing to send a card for birthdays or an anniversary, a reflection of how she cherished relationships with family and friends.

Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Julie (Jack) Bush and Tara (Greg) Jenne; Grandchildren, Christian (Casey) Jenne, and Audra (Evan) McFee; Brother-in-law Richard Harmer; Nephews Todd Harmer, Bryan Harmer and families; Jerry Cooper's children, Anthony Cooper, Leslie Averill and Kimberly LeRoy. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Eva Hurley, sister Karen Harmer, former husband Earl Fletcher; and companion Jared Cooper.

Kathryn's legacy of dedication and devotion to family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
