WATERTOWN- Mildred D. Mashaw, age 77, of Watertown, NY passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Samaritan Medical Center.

Born on July 11, 1948 in Rome, NY, Mildred was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Mildred A. (Morgan) Mashaw Sr. She was a 1966 graduate of Gouverneur Central School. Mildred's professional legacy was defined by her many years of service as the Senior Operations Manager with the Phelps Corporation in Watertown. She was a mainstay of the local rental property community until her retirement in 2012.

In her retirement, Mildred remained a vibrant presence. Whether she was engaging in the simple pleasures of coffee hours and working on puzzles, or the excitement of shopping, traveling and visiting the casino. She approached life with a sense of adventure and spirit.

Surviving are three children, Virginia (Leonard) Nichols, Scott (Brooklyn) Mashaw and Thomas Mashaw; two brothers, Robert and Earl Mashaw. Her greatest joy was her family, including her seven grandchildren: Josten, Gavin, Owen, Alexis, Addie, Wink and Finnegan; and her two great grandchildren, Knight and Calliope.

Mildred was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Courtney; her brothers, William, Gary and Donald "Herky" and a sister, Sandy Mishock.
