GOUVERNEUR - Patricia A. Hewitt (Simmons) passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital.

Patricia was born on June 18, 1949, in Gouverneur, New York. After spending time living in Arizona, she returned to the North Country, where she devoted herself to raising her children and staying close to her family.

Patricia's family was the center of her life and her love for those closest to her ran deep. She found joy in life's simple pleasures—time spent in nature, listening to music, and enjoying her favorite cup of tea. Her beloved four-legged companion brought her great comfort and happiness.

Patricia is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and four siblings.
