DEGRASSE – Pauline M. Riddell, age 92, of DeGrasse, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her home.

There will be a graveside service held in the South Russell Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home in Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

Pauline was born on January 28, 1933 in Russell, NY to the late Gaylord and Jane (Eels) Paro. She attended the DeGrasse local school and graduated from Knox Memorial High School in Russell in 1952. She had married Francis Riddell, who predeceases her.

Pauline worked for Production Products, first in Manlius, then in East Syracuse when they switched production there. She did many different jobs for them, making sure things got done and done right. In her free time, Pauline loved square dancing and listening to her favorite "shit kickin" country music. When she was younger, she would walk from DeGrasse to Hermon to go to Grandy's to join in the fun.

Pauline is survived by her children, Donald Jones, Donna and Fred Buell, Debra and John Doig, Dawn Howe, Dorothea and Robert Miller, and siblings, Albert Paro and Beatrice Peck. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Francis Riddell, a son, Daryl Jones, and siblings, Kenny Paro, James Paro, Gaylord Paro Jr., Charlie Paro, Thelma "Cookie" Denney, Cordelia Cole, Leona Holland, and Sherrie Steele.
