GOUVERNEUR- Robert E. Prashaw, Jr., age 62, of Gouverneur, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Gouverneur Hospital.

In keeping with his final wishes, the family will not be holding a service. Bob will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Kathy, who preceded him in death. Their love was unwavering, and after her passing, Bob never gave his heart to another.

Bob was a devoted father to Robert and Jennifer Prashaw of Tennessee, Bobbi Sue Prashaw and her companion Richard Cyrus of New York, and Bridget and Wayne Bell of New York. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, creating countless memories that will continue to live on in their hearts.

A hardworking man his entire life, Bob drove a dump truck for many thriving businesses across Tennessee. When he wasn't behind the wheel, he could often be found alongside his dear friend Correll "Peewee" Shepherd, rebuilding and repairing vehicles—a shared passion that brought them both great joy.

Bob was welcomed into Heaven by those who went before him: his parents, Robert and Bonnie Prashaw; his wife Kathy; his sister, Lorrie; his daughter, Jessica; and his best friend, Peewee.

Though he is no longer here, Bob's love, dedication, and gentle spirit will be forever remembered by those who knew him and those who continue to carry his legacy forward.
