NEWTON FALLS- Michael John B. "Mikey" Carlisle, age 36, of Newton Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 tragically at home in a house fire.

Michael was born on September 3, 1989 in Watertown, NY to James W. and Shelly L. (Hibbard) Carlisle. He had attended Indian River and Watertown Central Schools. He loved riding bicycles around prior to becoming disabled due to type 1 diabetes. He loved his dog, putting model cars together in his younger years and loved to go fishing. Mikey loved being around family and friends. He loved going on walks, especially to the beach. But his biggest joy was sitting around a bonfire with his mom and dad.

Surviving is his mother, Shelly; two brothers, Matthew and his fiancé Sarah Crane and Mark and his fiancé Crystal Sawyer; 8 nieces and nephews, Nevaeh, Raymond, Colsyn, Ida Louise, Ransom, Presley, Liyana and Vanessa; close aunt and uncle, Ross and Vivian Butterfield and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael is predeceased by his father, James who also was tragically taken in the fire and he is predeceased by a sister, Jamie Carlisle and special aunts Betty Henecke and June Ridsdale.

Michael will be greatly missed.
