GOUVERNEUR – Ann M. Gladle, age 69, of Gouverneur, passed away on October 15, 2025 at Gouverneur Hospital.

Ann was born on February 26, 1956 in Gouverneur to Phyllis A. (Paquette) Gladle and the late Gaylord "Sonny" Gladle, Jr. She attended several area schools. Ann is the widow of the late Richard Reed.

Ann worked as a cook for local restaurants, in manufacturing for Volpi in Auburn, P&C and Jreck Subs in Carthage, in the deli and bakery of Hannaford in Watertown, and as a seamstress for Venus Swimwear in Dexter.

Ann liked to sew, bake, cook, play games on her computer, play Skip-Bo, and to boss her family around a lot.

She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Gladle, son, Kaiden L. Reed, son from another mother, Shawn Kirby, her cat, Skittles, and siblings, Fred Gladle, David and Lori Gladle, Sonny Gladle, Tammy Campbell, and Martha and David Gladle-Riggall.

She is predeceased by her father, her husband, and a sister, Donna Gladle.
