STAR LAKE- Dennis J. Peabody, age 63, of Star Lake, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at his home.

Dennis was born on January 7, 1962 to Franklin and Cynthia (Jarvis) Peabody. He graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School in Star Lake. A marriage to Jeanie Boula ended in divorce.

In his free time, Dennis loved the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and just being in nature. He also enjoyed watching Survivor on television.

Surviving is his father, Franklin; two children, Corey and Nikki Peabody; a sister, Sharon Ann Peabody; two brothers, Franklin and Scott Peabody and 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Dennis is predeceased by a son, Dennis J. Peabody Jr. and his beloved dog, Teddy.

There will be a graveside service for Dennis on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Cemetery in Fine with Deacon Phillip Giardino officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to French Family Funeral Home, Star Lake. Condolences may be made online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
