GOUVERNEUR/EDWARDS – Terry A. Richards, age 70, of Gouverneur and Edwards, passed away on July 15, 2025 at home.

There will be a graveside service held in Fairview Cemetery in Edwards on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of life will be held on August 2, 2025 starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Cranberry Lake Pavillion at 243 Lone Pine Rd., Cranberry Lake, NY 12927. Terry was born on September 6, 1954 in Gouverneur to the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Porter) Richards. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School. A marriage to Elizabeth Peacock ended in divorce. Terry had a longtime companion, Susan Gagnon who passed away. Terry worked as a mechanic for St. Joe Mineral Corp and ZCA until his retirement. He had also briefly worked at Spilman's Garage. In his free time, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and restoring cars.

He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Morse, Christine (Michael) Gilbert, and Michele (Patrick) LaPlante, siblings, Joyce Cronk, Kathy Wood, Connie Jones, Kenneth Richards, Danny Richards, and Rodney Richards, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Terry is predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Tommy Richards and Sharon Gilmore and his longtime companion, Susan Gagnon.
