CANTON- Aurora J. Woodard, age 57, of Canton and formerly of Gouverneur, NY passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

Aurora was born on September 23, 1967 in Watertown, NY to Ray L. and Marilyn J. (Woodward) Parker. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1985 and went on to attend some college. She became a licensed cosmetologist; worked at R&M Market; the ARC; and then worked in maintenance for St. Lawrence University. On November 12, 2023, she married Robert Woodard at their home in Canton.

In her free time, Aurora enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, bowling, going to the Amish to shop and she loved going to concerts and being social.

Surviving is her husband, Robert; her mother, Marilyn Parker; two children, James Savage II and Cassie Savage; three step children, Shawn Woodard, Jason Woodard and Mandy McIntosh; a sister, Andrea and her husband Michael Crawn and ten grandchildren, Brandon, Selena, Eugene, Emma, Dasan, Kaylynn, Emma W., Freyja, Aerith and Gideon; and a nephew, Connor Crawn. She is predeceased by her father, Ray L. Parker.

There will be calling hours for Aurora on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. There will be no funeral service. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
