GOUVERNEUR- Harriet J. Lashbrooks, age 74, of Gouverneur, NY passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital with her family by her side.

Harriet was born on February 22, 1951 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Ralph and Hilda (Mack) Petrie. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1969. A marriage to Charles Finley ended in divorce. She married Wellen Lashbrooks, who has passed away. For the past 42 years, she shared her life with her true love, Warren J. Graffom.

Harriet babysat for many children and had worked at the East Side School cafeteria, but mainly had stayed home and raised her six daughters. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and going to lots of yard sales. She liked going to the park and to cookouts. Most of all, she has her children and grandchildren's memories that she always cherished.

Surviving is her companion of 42 years, Warren Graffom; five daughters, Brandy Jo and her husband Ricky Bush, Angel and her husband Adam Simmons, Madeline George, Carrie Durham and Michelle Finley; a sister, Sandy Deacons and 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Harriet is predeceased by her parents; a husband, Wellen Lashbrooks; a daughter, Amy Sue Finley; two brothers, Gilbert Petrie and Melvin Petrie and three sisters, Brenda Petrie, Ivy Smith and Sheila Gagnon; and a grandson, Daniel Petrie.
