Obituary of Marelyn E. White

STAR LAKE - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marelyn Edith White of Star Lake NY, on June 4th, 2025. Marelyn was born on October 16th, 1938 to the late Kenneth and Vivian White alongside her twin brother Merrill. Marelyn spent her life in the community of Star Lake, and through the years worked at many local businesses. Marelyn welcomed a son, Robert Charles on July 3rd, 1961. Marelyn enjoyed spending time with family, loved fishing, and the beauty of the Adirondacks. Marelyn was a proud member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Marelyn is survived by her twin brother Merril, her daughter-in-law Rebecca, her grandchildren Ashley, Robert, Matthew, and Amy, and her great granddaughter Rhiannon. Marelyn had a special place in her life and her heart for her many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great, great, nieces and nephews. Marelyn was predeceased by her beloved son Robert, her sisters Margaret Boula, Betty Hitchman, and her brother George White. Marelyn expressed to her family that it was her wish that no services were to be held, as she wanted people to remember her as the person she was. Marelyn will be laid to rest in the Oswegatchie, NY Cemetery at a later date with her family. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake.
