OSWEGATCHIE – Carol Ann Durham, age 86, of Oswegatchie, passed away on April 29, 2025.

There will be a private graveside service held in the Oswegatchie Cemetery. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

Carol was born on February 25, 1939 in Johnson City, NY to the late Thomas and Ethel (Morris) Van Patten. She married Levi A. Durham, Sr. on March 31, 1956. He passed away on October 8, 2002.

Carol was a homemaker whose family was her whole life. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making stained glass items, and working on other crafts. She was a member of the South Edwards United Methodist Church.

Carol is survived by four children, Levi Durham, Jr., Lanore "Nordie" and James Nolan, Thomas and Linda Durham, and Lynn and John LeRoux, 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Levi Durham, Sr., a son at birth, Steven Durham, and siblings, Clifford Decker, Lucille Tagliaferri, and Gwen Corpron.

Donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Shriner's or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
