GOUVERNEUR- Sandra J. Sibley, age 86, of Gouverneur, NY passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

Sandra was born on March 20, 1939 in Gouverneur, NY to the late James and Marion (Walrath) Morisey. She attended Gouverneur Central School. In 1957, she married Dick R. Sibley. The marriage ended in divorce, but after some time, the couple reunited and have been together ever since.

Sandra had worked at the Gouverneur Public Library and was the Sunday Bartender at the Gouverneur Elks Lodge for a few years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, going camping and just being outside.

Surviving is her companion, Dick Sibley; four sons, Randy and Carol A. Sibley, Ricky and Sharon Sibley, Jeff Sibley and Steven Sibley; a brother, James Morisey; two sisters, Cheryl Cornell and Cindy Hance; eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra is predeceased by her parents, James Morisey and Marion Hopper and a daughter, Lori Ann Sibley.
