GOUVERNEUR- Kathy R. Tracey, age 75, of Gouverneur, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

There will be calling hours held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur with a celebration of life to from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Gouverneur Community Center. Kathy was born on July 20, 1949 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Raymond J. and Mary Y. (Curcio) Mullin. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School where she met her husband, Rodney Tracey. The couple married on April 6, 1968.

Over the years, Kathy worked as a waitress and bartender at the Clearview Restaurant and at Palms. In her younger years, she would help manage the Coin Laundry Mat with her mother. Her work ethic was vigorous and fueled with love.

Kathy fiercely devoted her life to her mother, husband, children, grandchildren and family. She found happiness by loving and taking care of others; whether it was by baking someone's favorite dessert, hiding a 'Love You' Post-It note somewhere unexpected, buying pretty dishes to gift away or hiding candy in coat pockets. She enjoyed having large gatherings with her family. Kathy was always well known for her homemade sauce and homemade macaroni and gnocchi. She also enjoyed reading, yard sailing, canning and gardening. Kathy was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan and especially loved watching games with family.

Surviving is her husband, Rodney; a daughter and her husband, Lesley and Brad Drake; a son, Rodney Tracey; two brothers, James and Diane Skeldon and Daniel Mullin; two sisters, Melanie Mullin and Debbie Leonard; a sister-in-law, Charlene Mullin; six grandchildren and their spouses, Brittany and John Keruskie, Brianna and Jarred Forsyth-Hucherson, Bridget Tracey, Nicholas Tracey, Nathan and Harlie Drake and Abby Tracey and her fiancé Hunter; Eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents; a son, Ryan Tracey and a brother, Mark Mullin.
