GOUVERNEUR – Sheila Marie Van Norton, age 66, of Gouverneur, passed away on March 27, 2025.

Sheila was born on March 21, 1959 in Gouverneur to Belva (Parker) Church and the late William Church. She attended the Edwards Knox High School and married Thomas Van Norton on December 24, 1974 at the Gouverneur Presbyterian Church.
Sheila worked in the photographic business, developing pictures on an industrial scale for District Photo in Maryland before working for Fuji on Long Island.
Sheila is survived by her mother, Belva Church, daughter, Amber Lynn Van Norton, granddaughter, Zoe Campbell, and her siblings, William and Lynne Church, Larry Church, David and Janet Church, and Helen and Charlie Cole.
She is predeceased by her father, William Church, and a sister that died at birth.
