GOUVERNEUR – Carol E. LaBow, age 90, of Gouverneur, passed away on March 3, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Carol was born on January 7, 1935 in Gouverneur to the late Floyd and Mary L. (Morse) Frawley. She married Ray LaBow in June of 1959. Carol worked as a telephone operator in Gouverneur and was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Carol is survived by her son, Aaron LaBow, her daughter, Michelle LaBow-Stevens and her companion, Rick Soper, and sisters, Dora McAdam and her husband, Clarence, and Jane Fox and her husband, Jim. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Nicole Jayson, Brandyn Stevens, Ray Stevens, and Charles Stevens, and five great grandchildren, Lettie Stevens, Kyran Stevens, Kensley Stevens, Liam Stevens, and Evander Whitmarsh. She is predeceased by her husband, Ray LaBow, a brother, William Frawley, and a sister, Maryanne Frawley.
