WATERTOWN- Brian Lee Burns, age 51, of Watertown and formerly of Gouverneur, NY passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 unexpectedly.

Brian was born on July 23, 1973 in Watertown to Ted and Sharon (Boclair) Burns. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1992. Brian worked as a correction officer for NYSDOCCS in Gouverneur until his retirement in 2021. He married Autumn Tharrett on October 19, 2019 in Punta Cana.

Brian loved weight lifting, traveling, riding the side by side and spending summers at Sylvia Lake. He was an avid Giants football fan.

Surviving is his wife, Autumn; two sons, Caiden and Owen Burns; his father Ted Burns; two brothers, James and Michael Burns and his nieces and nephews.

Brian is predeceased by his mother, Sharon.

There will be a celebration of life for Brian on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at the Gouverneur VFW. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
