ANTWERP– Robert "Bob" W. Recher, age 79, of Somerville Rd. passed away on February 19, 2025 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. His family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Bob was born on May 26, 1945 in Lancaster, PA. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was a Master of his own Dojo in Pennsylvania. Bob also worked as an EMT in Lancaster, and drove school bus for Indian River Central School and Gouverneur Central School. He was married to Diane S. Olson.
Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, and hiking, including on the Appalachian Trail. He was involved in Revolutionary War re-enactments, was a handyman around the house, and served on the Planning Board for the Town of Rossie and was the Code Enforcement Officer.
Bob is survived by his wife, Diane Recher, his children, Becky, Sarah, Bobbie, Karen, and Sabrina, his sister, Karen, and grandchildren, Trei, Lane, Kaymin, Brayden, Bryce, Tucker, Cooper, Taz, Cutter, Trey, Logan, Zien, and Talon.
