GOUVERNEUR- Penney Lee Patton, age 71, of Gouverneur, NY passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Canton Potsdam Hospital.
Penney was born on May 27, 1953 in Gouverneur, NY to the late James S. and Loretta (Tharrett) Patton. She attended Gouverneur Central School.
Surviving is her daughter, Tonya Patton and her companion Tori Tibbits; a grandson, Tucker Tibbits; a brother, Richard "Mousey" and Lynn Patton; three sisters, Patricia "Squally" Towne, Debbie Rider and Kelly and Mike "Hound Dog" Liscum. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Lisa Hadfield, Bobby Cardinell, Jerrilyn Patton, Rachel Phillips, Mike Liscum and JT Liscum.
Penney is predeceased by two sisters, Phyllis Patton and Robin Patton; a brother-in-law, Junior Towne and a great nephew, Brandon Cardinell.
In keeping with Penney's wishes, there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Gouverneur Elks Lodge for everyone to gather. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
