GOUVERNEUR – Tracy L. Shippee, age 60, formerly of Richville, passed away on February 8, 2025 at his home in Gouverneur.
There will be a private burial in Spragueville Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Tracy was born on June 8, 1964 in Massena to the late Leon E. and Venita R. (Perrigo) Shippee. He attended the Indian River Central School and drove dump truck for T. J. Clement Trucking out of Watertown.
Tracy loved the outdoors, camping and cutting wood. He also enjoyed watching football and the company of Blackie Shippee, the family cat.
He is survived by a son, Chad Shippee, siblings, Timothy Shippee, Mark Shippee, Lauri and Jamie Andrews, and Robyn and John Bango, and his nieces and nephews.
Tracy is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Leon "Lenny" Shippee, Randy Shippee, and Donna Gail Shippee.
