MEXICO/PITCAIRN – Milton "Bub" E. Hart, age 80, of Mexico NY and formerly of Pitcairn, passed away on January 30, 2025 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.

Calling hours will be held at the Edwards United Methodist Church on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the East Pitcairn Cemetery. Milton was born on October 28, 1944 in Russell to the late George J. and Betty M. (VanHouse) Hart. He attended Harrisville Central School. A marriage to Marie Ingraham ended in divorce.

Bub worked as a Construction Superintendent for S.J. Groves, working and living all over the United States for over 20 years. He then worked for Tioga Construction in Herkimer until retiring due to injury. One of his projects he was proud of was the longest conveyer belt located in Utah, measuring 9 miles long.

Bub had a life-long love of horses and enjoyed working on his horse farm. He kept prize horses that he showed with his family. He loved being in the woods, haying, and logging with his horses and tractors.

He is survived by his significant other of 26 years, Kathy Burns, three sons, Matt and Natalie Hart, Mitchell Hart, and Mandel Hart, siblings, G. Morris and Bonnie Hart, Mavis Bush, Amanda and Donald Fuller, and Karen Averill, a foster brother, Clarence LaSiege, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Bub is predeceased by his parents, two sons, Marshall and Mark Hart, and a granddaughter, Aleesha Hart Seymour.
