Obituary of Wayne F. Tyler

GOUVERNEUR- Wayne "Bogger" F. Tyler, age 80, of Gouverneur, passed away on October 6, 2017 at approximately 2:30 a.m. at his home surrounded by his loving family. There will be calling hours for Wayne on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 4 – 7 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. There will also be calling hours held on Monday at the Gouverneur Community Center from 12 – 2 p.m. with his funeral held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Howard Maxson officiating. Wayne was born on February 23, 1937 in Gouverneur to the late Norman F. and Marian R. (Jones) Tyler. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1954. Wayne married Virginia "Ginger" Peck on August 14, 1958 at the Gouverneur United Methodist Church with Rev. Wood officiating. Wayne worked in the construction industry for 50 years. Bogger started with Rouse Construction and finished his career with Northland Associates. He started as a Laborer and worked his way up to Project Manager. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood cutting, making maple syrup and being with his family, children and grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Ginger; a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Jack Wolak of West Monroe, NY; two sons and their wives, Timothy and Donna and Michael and Marcy Tyler all of Gouverneur; a nephew that they raised and his wife, Mark and Marcie Tyler of Gouverneur; and nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Wayne is predeceased by a sister, Frances Tyler and three brothers, Malcolm, Merrill and Richard Tyler.
