EDWARDS - Rosemary Rudkoff, age 70, of Edwards, passed away at the Clifton Fine Hospital after a brief illness early morning December 31, 2012. Rosemary was born on January 11, 1942 in Gloversville, NY to William H. Jenness and Mary McCormick Jenness. She married Randall Gearsbeck on January 31, 1959. The marriage ended in divorce in 1989. Rosemary married Thomas Rudkoff in December 1996 in Waddington. Rosemary enjoyed traveling and camping. She was extremely creative and enjoyed refinishing antique furniture, sewing, painting and decorating. Her ability to create unique creations was boundless. Possibly her greatest joy was being with her beloved husband, Tom, and her grandchildren. She would spend countless hours showing them the world around them and how to explore it. Every day was an adventure with grandma. Rosemary was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in August 1997. She battled and survived when all said there was no hope. After going into remission, Rosemary went on to enjoy life with her best friend and beloved husband, Tom; traveling, spending winters in Leesburg, FL and time with her children and grandchildren. Rosemary is survived by her husband, Thomas Rudkoff of Waddington; her daughters, Pamela Baker of Edwards, Romona and Frank Miller of Tampa, FL; Rhonda Solon and her companion, Dwayne Phelps of Niverville, NY; and her son, Scott and wife Mary Gearsbeck of Oswegatchie. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Gabrielle, Caitlyn and Adrianna; eight grandsons, Benjamin, Kyle, Bob, Scott, Brandon, Andrew, Mackenzie, and Taylor; a great-grandson, Logan and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rosemary was predeceased by her father, William Jenness; her mother, Mary Dickens; step-father, Fay Dickens and her beloved dogs, Arf and Tara. Her service and Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Arrangements are through French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be made online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse NY (Do not delete this line. It does not print.
