Obituary of Lena L. Paro

RUSSELL – Lena L. Paro, age 95, formerly of Russell, passed away on November 2, 2016 at the United Helpers River Ledge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. There will be an hour of visitation at French Funeral Home in Edwards on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Beth Quick officiating. Burial will be in the Hermon Cemetery. Lena was born on June 13, 1921 in Clare to the late Orson and Bessie (Crawford) Bulluck. She attended the Knox Memorial High School and married Horace C. Paro on April 4, 1940 at the home of Grace Moore in Russell. Mr. Paro passed away on January 7, 1996. Mrs. Paro was a family oriented woman who loved her family. In her free time, she enjoyed bird watching and used to crochet. Lena is survived by a daughter, Janet Butler of Russell; a son and his wife, Orson and Cindy Paro of New Mexico; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Jacqueline Towne; a brother, Orson Bulluck; and her sisters, Ruth Burns, Daisy Hill, Mabel Rider, Doris Service, Ethel Fountain and Mildred Towne.
