OXBOW – N. Allen Pedroza, age 84, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at the Gouverneur Hospital. Calling hours will be held at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur, on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Beth Benham officiating. Burial will be in the Oxbow Cemetery. Allen was born in Montpelier, VT on November 22, 1931 to the late Noyce Costa and Winnie (Lucas) Pedroza. He graduated from the Gouverneur Central School in 1951. Allen married Martha J. Klock on June 19, 1965. She passed away on August 9, 1979. Mr. Pedroza worked for several area businesses, retiring from Cives Steel in Gouverneur. His survivors include his sons, Michael Pedroza, Mitchell and his wife, Alice Pedroza of Oxbow; his daughter, Merry and her husband, Linden McIntosh, III of Hermon; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his friend and companion, Anna Bishop, of Gouverneur. Allen is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Martha; a brother, Charles Pedroza and a sister, Margaret Hamilton.
