WATERTOWN/EDWARDS – Teresa Morrow, age 82, passed away on April 10, 2015 at the Samaritan Summit Village with her family at her side. Calling hours for Teresa Morrow will be at French Funeral Home, Edwards on Monday, April 13th from 3 until 7 p.m. Her funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Edwards on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Edwards. Teresa was born on June 17, 1932 in Tupper Lake, NY. She was a daughter of the late Peter B. and Lucy (Baxter) Cahill. She attended schools in Old Forge, Fine, and Edwards before graduated from Clifton-Fine High School in 1949. Teresa then graduated from the A. Barton Hepburn School of Nursing in Ogdensburg. She married Melvin "Bud" Hovey on October 31, 1952. Bud passed away in 1967. Teresa married Richard "Dick" Morrow on December 4, 1976. Dick passed away on April 1, 2009. Mrs. Morrow has lived in Watertown since 1955. She worked as a Registered Nurse for the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown for 24 years before retiring in 1991. She was a hardworking single mother for eleven years who was dedicated to her children. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting (especially mittens and hunting socks). She liked to read and complete crossword puzzles and used to love camping and fishing. Her survivors include four daughters, Sarah J. Hovey of Watertown, Nancy A. Casler of Sandy Creek, Mrs. David (Linda S.) Stockholm of Watertown, Mrs. Gene (Mary) Devereaux of Harrisville; four sons, Michael E. and Dorothy Hovey of Sandy Creek, Peter C. and Sarah Hovey of Dexter, Russell J. and Mary Hovey of Silver Lake, WA, Timothy D. and Julie Hovey of Dexter; a brother, Daniel C. Cahill of Parishville; and two sisters, Julia Ann Marsh of Florida and Alice Quackenbush of Plattsburgh. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, and 22 plus great grandchildren. Teresa is predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Joyce Hovey; a grandson, Jonathan Casler; a son-in-law, Michael Casler; and two sisters, Lucy Shene and Bernadette Rice.
