Obituary of Lorrie I. McIntosh

DEKALB JCT.- Lorrie I. McIntosh, age 57, of Dekalb Jct., passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. There will be calling hours for Lorrie on Saturday, March 28th from 1:00-3:00pm at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur with a gathering to follow at the American Legion in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Lorrie was born on December 29, 1957 in Gouverneur to the late John and Mildred Ilene (Hollister) Forsythe. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1976. Later, she attended Mater Dai College. She married Michael McIntosh on March 31, 1979, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1993. Lorrie was a waitress at several restaurants in the Alexandria Bay and Watertown area, but most recently she was the manager in housekeeping at the Ramada Inn in Plant City, FL. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and she loved reading. Lorrie is survived by her companion of 21 years, Russell Bice; four daughters, Michelle and Bevin Stevens of Cape Vincent, Christina McIntosh of Hermon, Karrie McIntosh and her companion Lacey Bango of Gouverneur and Melissa McIntosh and her companion Cleon Camidge of Winthrop; a son, Joshua McIntosh of Gouverneur; a step daughter, Jessica Bice of Plant City, FL; two brothers and their wives, John and Judith Forsythe of Manlius and James and Terry Forsythe of Gouverneur; six grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jeneka, Gabrielle, Tre, London and Mackenna; and several nieces and nephews.
